       - Jyotirmoy Chatterji and Pranav Desai of the Project Chirag team provided solar lights to 8 villages in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan.

       - Yet another milestone was achieved on this day. Project Chirag had provided rural lighting to a total of 3000 families across the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

       - Project Chirag lit 32 households in Patilpada and Murabipada in the Dahanu Taluka,Thane District in Maharastra.

       - On this Earth Day,the lives of 23 families were impacted in the village of Thakarpada in the?Dahanu Taluka,Thane District in Maharastra.They now replaced their kerosene lanterns with less polluting solar lights to live a healthier and happier life.

       - Project Chirag believes not only in providing electricity but also ensuring that the products provided work properly.Thus they undertook an Impact Assessment trip to the village of Dongripada to ensure that all the lights installed were functional and to see the difference they had made in the lives of the villagers.

       - Project Chirag along with the students of OLPS School,Chembur who raised funds to light the village of Savarpada in the Dahanu taluka,Thane District in Maharastra electrified 40 households.

       - Members of the Project Chirag Team and ambassadors of the project were present at the BreachCandy Club, Mumbai on 3rd March 2012 at the Charity Carnival. Brownies to paintings, calendars to Warli handicrafts made by the rural community, all were made available for sale while spreading the word about the project.

       - Project Chirag lit up the house of Tanubai Hirve in Pune in response to which a Pune Mirror article dated 27th Feb, 2012 which read that the old lady had no electricity and lived in darkness for 50 years of her life.

       - Sife HRC,provided electricity to 47 househoulds impacting approximately 200 lives in a village named Dongarpada in the Dahanu Taluka,Thane District in Maharstra.This house was lit up with the funds collected by Namrata Hingorani who decided to make a difference on her 40th birthday by asking her friends and relatives to collect funds to light up a village.

       - The students of New Jersey City University got involved with Project Chirag and undertook a trip to the village of Malkaripada in Maharastra to light up the lives of several villagers who lived in complete darkness.

       - The international collaboration with Singapore Management University (SMU) was taken forward with the members of Project Chirag helping facilitate Project Gazaab - a micro social enterprise competition conducted at Paachaal village, Maharashtra by the students of SMU.

       - Project Chirag collaborated with the students of Singapore Management University to provide solar lighting to 50 households of Babulapada village.

       - Sanctuary Asia recognizes the efforts of Project Chirag in contributing towards making a positive impact with the use of green sources of energy.

       - Project Chirag recruits 50 volunteers from H.R. College.

       - Added the Aditya Birla World Academy to its league of partner institutes that have served as torchbearers of the initiative. 98 students of the school along with Project Chirag Crew members visited Sagadevpada village to light up 55 households.

       - Project Chirag was represented at the American Womens' Charity Mela 2011 held at Hotel Trident, Mumbai.

       - Project Chirag completes solar lighting of 75 villages, achieving this milestone in just 18 months. This has lead to an impact to over 15000 people in rural India

       - Partnership with CH2 - the youth wing of Children's Hope India, based in the United States of America. This partnership has lead to the solar lighting of 3 villages in the Thane District.

       - Partnered with First Rand Bank, India - a leading financial institution in South Africa. This partnership resulted in providing solar light to 105 rural households of Kevanala village and additionally provided solar street lighting, essential educational material, school uniforms & slippers and supplies of essential food items. The CEO of First Rand Bank, India Mr. Mahendran Moodley along with other employees of the organization joined the Project Chirag Crew in executing the project at the grass-root level.

       - Collaboration with The Energy Resource Institute (TERI) as implementation partners for the solar lighting initiative sponsored by Russel Reynolds.

       - Project Chirag initiates the Employee Engagement Program (EEP) - Partners with the EdelGive Foundation in bringing solar light to 110 households in Vadavali village in the Wada Taluka of Maharashtra.

       - Project Chirag bags the first prize at Cognizance 2011, one of Asia's largest technical festivals - Hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorki.

       - Addressed the students of 35 schools, creating awareness amongst over 900 students at Utsav 2011 - the Annual event of Children's Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA). This served as the first step towards the strategic partnership between Project Chirag and CMCA, Mumbai.

       - In only 2 additional days, Project Chirag has created a footprint in a fourth state - Karnataka by bringing solar lighting to the Motebennur village in the Haveri District.

       - Furthermore multiplying the impact of the project, the Project Chirag Team reached out to the state of Rajasthan and has provided 100 rural households with solar lighting, as a pilot towards a much higher aim of impact.

       - Project Chirag expanded its operations by providing solar lighting to the Thenugaon Village, in the Basti District of Uttar Pradesh. This was the project's first footprint outside the state of Maharashtra.

       - Project Chirag undertakes its first school partnership - students of Queen Mary School join the Chirag Light India Movement and spread light to the Malkaripada and Navapada villages in Thane District, Maharashtra.

       - Members of the Project Chirag team along with 300 students marched at Marine Drive, Mumbai to mark the launch of the Chirag Light India Movement - a movement that was initiated by mobilizing students of various schools in the city and as a result aimed at providing solar light to an additional 1000 rural households in just 45 days.

       - SIFE HRC installs 8 Streetlights collectively in Ghodipada, Gautechapada, Sarohipada, Khumarpada and Sutlipada Villages of Jawhar Taluka, Thane District, Maharashtra.
       - SIFE HRC lights up 60 houses in Sarohipada Village of Jawhar Taluka, Thane District, Maharashtra. Project Chirag has thus directly impacted over 700 houses.

       - SIFE HRC installs 12 Streetlights collectively in Dhakanpada, Bachkyachimali, Pachbud, Khidsa and Rautpada Villages of Jawhar Taluka, Thane District, Maharashtra.

       - SIFE HRC showcased Project Chirag at the SIFE National Competition 2010 held at the Intercontinental Hotel, The Lalit, Mumbai and placed 2nd best in India.

       - SIFE HRC showcased Project Chirag at the SIFE Regionals Competition 2010 and went through to the National Competition to be held on 2nd July, 2010.

       - SIFE HRC lights up 80 houses in Pachbud, Zambechapada, Rozapada, Khomarpada and Sutlipada Villages of Jawhar Taluka, Thane District, Maharashtra. Project Chirag finally crosses the milestone of lighting up 500 houses with solar equipment.

       - SIFE HRC lights up 84 houses in Rautpada, Kaspada, Ghodipada, Dhakanpada and Bachkechiwadi Villages of Vikramgadh and Jawhar Taluka, Thane District, Maharashtra. With that, Project Chirag has now directly improved the lives of over 2000 people.

       - SIFE HRC lights up 98 houses in Khidsa, Narnoli, Ambidechapada and Ambechapada Villages of Jawhar Taluka, Thane District, Maharashtra. Project Chirag has now lit up over 350 houses with solar equipment.
